Holly Catania is an advocate for increasing awareness and understanding of opiate addiction and treatment. Her activities include public education with communities, users, advocates and medical professionals; preparation of research briefs; and coordination of and participation in conferences and meetings. She assists in the development of web-based communication for the Opiate Addiction Web Site and electronic news to our physician and patient groups.
Her previous experience includes several years with the Lindesmith Center-Drug Policy Foundation where she served as Director of the Methadone Policy Project. In addition, Ms. Catania has applied her legal training to represent indigent defendants for the Legal Aid Society and played an active role with the Commission to Combat Police Corruption. Ms. Catania received her law degree from Temple University and her B.S. from Pennsylvania State University.
