Stanley Komaroff joined Henry Schein, Inc. (Nasdaq NM: HSIC) in December 2003 as Senior Advisor and Member of its Executive Management Committee. Henry Schein, Inc. is the largest provider of healthcare products and services to office-based practitioners in the combined North American and European markets. Prior to joining Henry Schein, for more than 35 years Mr. Komaroff was a partner at Proskauer Rose LLP, one of the largest firms in the nation, and from 1991-1999 served as that firm's Chairman.

During his tenure as Chairman, the firm experienced tremendous growth, more than doubling its revenues. Prior to being elected as Chair of the Firm, Stanley was the head of its Corporate Department. For a number of years while at Proskauer, Stanley had represented several French multinational companies such as Alcatel, Bollore, Club Mediterranee, Hutchinson S.A., La Compagnie Financiere Benjamin et Edmond de Rothschild, Rhodia (formerly Rhône-Poulenc), Sanofi and TotalFinaElf.

Stanley is a director of Overseas Shipholding Group, Inc (NYSE). He is also a director of The Edmond de Rothschild Foundation and the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center. From its inception as a public company until its going private transaction, Stanley served as a director of Club Med Inc. (NYSE). Stanley has been active in civic and philanthropic matters, concentrating in the health care field. He is a trustee, vice chair and member of the executive committee of Beth Israel Medical Center as well as a trustee of St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, Continuum Health Partners, Inc., and a regent of Long Island College Hospital.

A graduate of Cornell University and Cornell Law School, Stanley was Editor-in-Chief of the Cornell Law Review and the winner of several academic honors. Stanley has, over the years, been a frequent lecturer on mergers and acquisitions both at the Practising Law Institute and at the Johnson Graduate School of Management, Cornell University. He has been elected as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. For more than 10 years Stanley was a member of the New York State Hospital Review and Planning Council, a board appointed by the Governor to approve hospital construction, expansion and programmatic changes.
